Advocacy and Training Event with Kinondoni Municipal Council

On the 23rd of July, TAYCO, in collaboration with the Kinondoni Municipal Council, hosted a successful advocacy event that reached and registered 218 youth. This initiative aimed to raise awareness about the opportunities in agribusiness and equip young people with essential knowledge to embark on their agricultural journey. The event generated considerable enthusiasm, with young attendees eager to learn more about the potential of modern agriculture.

Building on the momentum from the advocacy event, the team organized a two-day training at the Malolo Agriculture Resource Centre, held on the 24th and 25th of July. The focus of this training was on cassava value addition, organic fertilizer production, and vegetable farming. Participants were given practical insights and hands-on experience, empowering them with skills in sustainable farming practices that have the potential to transform their livelihoods.

Showcasing Youth Agripreneurship

From the 1st to the 9th of August, TAYCO and ENABLE TAAT participated in the prestigious Nanenane Expo 2024, held in the Dodoma region. The expo provided a platform for the team to showcase TAAT’s innovative agricultural technologies and highlight the impressive products of youth agripreneurs. Featured products included cassava-based foods, fortified maize flour, fish feeds, and organic fertilizers – all proudly produced by young agripreneurs benefiting from TAAT’s interventions.

During the exhibition, the team reached 125 youth, comprising 58 males and 67 females, exposing them to a range of technologies that could revolutionize their agricultural practices. The event not only demonstrated the potential of youth in agribusiness but also highlighted the importance of agricultural innovation in driving sustainable development.
